Miguel A. Garcia and Ilia Belorukov met in 2013 in Saint-Petersburg at a recording session. After some time they started to work as a duo. Their first album "Wolkokrot" was released by the hungarian label Inexhaustible Editions in 2015. It was a studio work with various electronics, sound samples and field recordings as blurred reflections of memories. As a live unit Miguel and Ilia plays using improvised contexts and working with sounds from saxophone, electronic devices and objects. First tour of the duo happened in December 2016 in Switzerland and France.

Miguel A. García (aka Xedh) from the Basque country, is one of the most dynamic sound artists in the Spanish scene. His work focuses mainly on the composition and electro-acoustic improvisation. He uses sounds taken from electronic devices residues, often interrelated with field recordings or acoustic instruments, in the search of an intimate, intense and immersive experience. A music of adventurous forms, full of contrasts and having nevertheless a sense of humor. His background comprises fine arts and audiovisual technology, questioning the borders between electro-acoustic academic music, industrial music and the so called outsider music.
With his solo project or different groups, he has played in festivals in countries like Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, The Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Poland, Portugal, Russia & USA. His work has been released worldwide by many labels, including Auditory Field Theory, Copy For Your Records, Geraeuschmanufaktur, Hideous Replica, Insub, Intonema, Pilgrim Talk, Rhizome.s, Mikroton, Nueni or Zeromoon.
He works regularly with musicians like Ilia Belorukov, Sebastien Branche, Alfredo Costa Monteiro, Seijiro Murayama or Ibon Rg, and has collaborated with artists such Lali Barriere, Heddy Boubaker, Jean-Luc Guionnet, Kurt Liedwart, Nick Hoffman or Hector Rey. As a promoter, amongst other projects, is the founder of the Club Le Larraskito and director of the Zarata Fest, both platforms dedicated to the broadcast of challenging art and music.
Ilia Belorukov is a musician from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. He works in the directions of improvised, noise and electroacoustic music. He’s a member of different projects with local and foreign musicians. He collaborates with artists who work in other musical directions (from hardcore and metal to academic contemporary music); with dancers and painters; with theater. Ilia practices an experimental approach of sound extraction on alto saxophone with objects, uses electronics and other instruments. Also he is a founder of Intonema label (www.intonema.org) and one of curators of Spina!rec label (www.spinarec.bandcamp.com). Organizer of events in Russia, co-organizer of the SpinaFest and Teni Zvuka festivals in Saint-Petersburg. He writes reviews for his own blog on Syg.ma, was reviewer of Contemporary Music, Music & Time, Topot and GEZeta journals.
Ilia had played with such musicians as Keith Rowe, Alfredo Costa Monteiro, David Stackenas, Radu Malfatti, Lucio Capece, Jason Kahn, Birgit Ulher, Ignaz Schick, Jonas Kocher, Gaudenz Badrutt, Stefan Thut, Arturas Bumsteinas, Thomas Buckner, Bryan Eubanks, Jack Wright, Andrew Drury, Andrey Popovskiy, Alexei Borisov, Kurt Liedwart and many others. Released his works on labels Mikroton (Russia), Copy For Your Records (USA), Hideous Replica (UK), Ilse (USA), Intonema (Russia), QuasiPop (Ukraine), 1000fussler (Germany) and others.
